Chairman John Hogan and board member and previous president Dawn Cameron help out at Ronald McDonald House

Once again, the NYC/LI NARI chapter is helping the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island in New Hyde Park with phase two of it’s ‘Project Design 2014’ initiative.

Last summer, Phase I transformed 18 bedrooms and several common areas. Phase II will continue with the addition of 24 bedrooms, four kitchens, five common areas, laundry rooms and the creation of a brand new fitness center and meditation room. The project brings together more than 45 of America’s leading interior designers as well as local craftsmen.

NYC/LI NARI members, under the lead of Laurence Carolan from House of Carolan and Robi Kirsic from Timeline Renovations, spent countless hours putting down laminate flooring, painting rooms and putting up moulding and trim during the first phase of the project.

NYC/LI NARI is looking for member volunteers (family and friends welcome) to lay laminate flooring on the following dates:

July 19th
August 9th
Aug 30/Sept 6
Sept 13/Sept 20

The house is open for work at 7.30 am. Lunch and refreshments will be served. Contact Laurence Carolan on his cell at 516-317-0795 for details and what tools are needed.

The mission of The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is to give comfort and shelter to families experiencing the pain of having a sick child in local hospital facilities. A “home away from home”, the House provides the parents and siblings of these children with a temporary haven in a secure and comfortable environment among other families sharing a similar burden.
